PoE 2 Waystone & Tablet Crafting: Roll Better Maps

In Path of Exile 2, your waystones (and the tablets that buff a region) are the equivalent of PoE 1's maps — and how you roll them directly controls your loot and XP per map. Good waystone rolling is one of the highest-ROI habits in the endgame. Here's the short version, and how Exiled Bench 2 automates it.

What you're rolling for

Waystones carry mods that boost rewards and mods that add danger. The reward mods are what you want:

• Increased Rarity / Quantity of Items — the core loot multipliers.
• Increased Pack Size / more monsters — more kills, more drops, more XP.
• Increased Magic/Rare monster mods — more rare packs = more targeted loot.

The danger mods (extra monster damage/resistances, player debuffs) are the tax. As with PoE 1 maps, the goal is high reward mods, none of the danger mods your build can't handle.

Tablets apply region-wide bonuses (rarity, pack size, mechanic-specific boosts) — roll them the same way: maximise the bonus you care about.

The threshold mindset

You don't read every mod — you set thresholds:

• Rarity ≥ your minimum, Pack Size ≥ your minimum.
• No forbidden mods (the ones that brick the run for your build).

If a waystone clears your thresholds and has none of your forbidden mods, run it.

Automating it with Exiled Bench 2

The waystone/tablet rolling mode is built for exactly this:

1. Set your reward thresholds and forbidden mods.
2. Choose your rolling currency and press start.
3. It rolls each waystone/tablet, reads the result, and stops when it clears every condition — then move to the next.

Tips

• Tier up safely. Waystone-tier mods raise difficulty and reward — push tier as your build allows.
• Batch a stack. Roll a whole stash of waystones to your thresholds in one go and bank the good ones.
• Match tablets to your farm. Roll the region bonus that amplifies whatever mechanic you're running.
