Getting Started with Exiled Bench in 10 Minutes
New to Exiled Bench? This walkthrough takes you from download to your first fully automated craft — install, activate, calibrate, target, and roll.
Exiled Bench automates the repetitive half of Path of Exile crafting: you pick a target, it rolls until your item matches, then stops. This guide gets you from a fresh download to your first hands-free craft. It pairs with the step-by-step Setup & Guides page.
1. Install
Run the installer and launch. The app self-elevates (one UAC prompt) because Path of Exile runs as administrator and Windows blocks a normal app from sending input to an elevated one. If Windows SmartScreen warns, choose More info → Run anyway; if antivirus flags the keyboard hook, add an exclusion — both are expected for an unsigned input tool and are covered in the FAQ.
2. Activate
On first launch, paste the serial key from your account dashboard (format
PROE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). It binds to your machine. Accept the risk disclaimer — automation carries ToS risk,
and it's worth reading the Safety page before you start.
3. Calibrate (the one step that matters)
Open Settings → Calibrate. A fullscreen overlay appears; click two opposite corners of your stash tab so the app can compute every cell. Repeat for your inventory (and currency tab if you use the tracker). Nothing rolls correctly until calibration is done — but it takes seconds and the app remembers it.
4. Pick your target
On the Roll tab, open the Mod DB and filter Slot → Base type → Influence to find the exact mod and tier you want. Add it to your target list, choose a rolling method (Alteration, Alt + Aug, Chaos, Alch + Scour, Fossil, and more), and set any filler or forbidden mods to shape the outcome.
5. Roll
Hover the item (or a stash tab for a full sweep), switch to PoE, and press your Start hotkey. Exiled Bench rolls, reads each result from the clipboard, and stops the instant your item matches. Pause or stop any time with your hotkeys; a failsafe auto-stops on a stuck item.
